Who Is Behind Cellarit?

Cellarit Pty Ltd ABN 40 092 360 195 is an independent wine services company established in 1999.

Cellarit achieves substantial efficiencies by outsourcing and integrating specialist roles across a hand-picked circle of suppliers. Here is a brief list of the people and companies that are actively involved in providing our services:

Scott Witt: Founder and Managing Director

Scott relocated to Sydney from New York in 1992 with his Australian wife, Merrill. An active wine buyer for over 20 years, Scott has developed a deep knowledge and appreciation of wine and the Australian wine industry. He is responsible for all aspects of the Cellarit business, especially business development and customer service. Merrill likewise focuses on customer service but also drives Cellarit's newsletter and marketing initiatives.

Lyall McLachlan: Director

Lyall is one of Australia's foremost logistics experts. Starting out as a "truckie" he rose rapidly to become an early director of Toll Holdings. He then struck out on his own to start and build SWADS. SWADS was acquired by Post Logistics Australasia (a subsidiary of Australia Post) in 2006 primarily for its longstanding reputation as the top logistics provider, by performance, in Australia. Lyall is also a director of several other logistics companies.

Post Logistics Australasia (formerly SWADS)

The Cellarit wine storage, sales and delivery business is completely integrated with our logistics partners at Post Logistics Australasia (a subsidiary on Australia Post). Prior to being acquired and renamed, the company was known as SWADS, one of Australia's most successful logistics companies. The new combination of the award-winning SWADS performance with the reach and resources of Australia Post will continue to underpin Cellarit's capabilities to deliver the best service in the industry.

Julie Feltrin: Customer Service Manager

After extensive searching and exhaustive multi-year "road-testing", Cellarit appointed Julie as the best candidate to head its customer service team. Prior to joining Cellarit, Julie was a top customer manager at SWADS/Post Logistics. She has an intimate knowledge of Cellarit's operations, a "can-do" attitude and endless energy.

Cellarit maintains a very close working relationship with its web developers at Izilla. On a daily basis Izilla staff monitor the Cellarit website and respond to new development initiatives. Izilla, although a separate company, functions very much like an in-house team of Cellarit programming specialists.

Bulletproof Networks(Secure Website Hosting)

Bulletproof Networks hosts and monitors the Cellarit website offsite at a purpose-built data centre that is secure from physical access, fire, etc. and behind internet fire walls. An array of warning systems alert the Bulletproof staff to any problems with the Cellarit website and allow for timely response 24x7. Bulletproof also safeguards Cellarit data by performing regular backups to tape drives.
